Podere is the Umani Ronchi version of Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, one of the most widespread indigenous varieties in Italy, cultivated predominantly along the Adriatic side (East coast), where the vines reach the perfect maturation. Absolutely delicious Montepulciano d’Abruzzo in a party- and cookout-friendly style. Done all in tank, it shows plenty of ripe black fruits that retain freshness and vibrancy from a very light sense of tang. Accents of licorice and black olive add interest to flavors of excellent amplitude that flow on nicely through supported by satisfyingly chunky, grainy, tannins. Just a fun drink at 13.0% alcohol.
