This smooth complex red wine from the Douro in Portugal is produced from a field blend of several local grape varieties including port grapes Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz. It is a product of a joint venture between Portuguese winemaker Rita Marques and South African winemaker Marc Kent from Boekenhoutskloof. It's inky in color with a purple hue, filled with gorgeous dark, earthy and chewy black cherry and plum fruit, and some toasty notes from 16 months in used French oak barrels. Big, bold and rustic
