Domaine de la Mongestine is a a young estate pursuing organic viticulture in high elevation Provençale vineyards of Coteaux d’Aix en Provence. They grow 31 grape varieties and have been certified organic since 2014 and work with biodynamic principles, ferment using only native yeasts, only use sulfur at bottling and avoid the use of barrels in favor of tank and amphora. This wine sits between being a light red or a really dark Tavel-like rose. Which of course makes it the perfect chillable red! A blend of Grenache, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Marselan and Merlot.
