Alpha Estate, founded in 1997 by renowned enologist Angelos Iatridis, is one of the most respected estates in all of northwestern Greece. Situated at very high altitude in the sandy Amyndeon plateau, the estate’s vines deliver wines of vivid, punchy fruit and bright, crisp acidity, especially in the hands of Iatridis’ laser-precise farming and winemaking. Amyndeon is noted for its Xinomavro from 100 year-old ungrafted vines planted en gobelet in sand at 660m altitude (and in fact is the only historical appellation for rosé in Greece).  Orange blossom, red cherry, rose petal and spicy nuances all come alive. Round and polished, the 2021 bundles energizing freshness on the full-bodied palate with finesse on the complex finish.
