Jean-Max Roger has been one of the most distinctive wine personalities in the Sancerre region on the Upper Loire for decades. His winery in the winegrowing village of Bue, surrounded by vines presents its particular pride in the vineyard wine La Cote de Bue. The Sauvignon Blanc grapes for Jean-Max Roger's Sancerre La Cote de Bue come from a vineyard with an extremely steep slope, up to 50%. A third of the finished wine is aged in medium-sized oak barrels acquiring an extra texture and some light spicy notes. Classic the lively, fresh notes, typical Sauvignon Blanc with its magnificent breed. What sets him apart in particular is the bright, filigree complex fruit.
